A COW was rescued yesterday (April 14) after it was found stuck in a river with a rope around it's neck.
One fire engine from Martock, one from Taunton and a specialist animal rescue team from Bridgwater were sent to help the animal on Huish Drove, Langport.
They were called to the incident around 5pm.
"Crews with assistance from the farmer, managed to release the cow using strops and animal rescue equipment," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
