THERE were TWO gas leaks in Yeovil within half an hour last night (April 13).
Fire crews attended the leaks on Alvington Fields and Sherborne Road in Yeovil between 8.15pm and 8.45pm.
Two fire engines from Yeovil, an environmental protection unit and support pump from Taunton attended the incident on Alvington Fields.
"On arrival crews confirmed that this gas leak was caused by the owner hitting a gas pipe within a wall," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"Crews used a gas monitor and two breathing apparatus to check the area and make safe. The gas was isolated and gas board informed."
And one fire engine from Sherborne, one from Yeovil and an environmental protection unit and support pump from Taunton were called to the leak on Sherborne Road.
"On arrival crews confirmed there was a small leak from the cooker," the spokesperson added.
"The gas was isolated and the property ventilated.
"The gas board also attended."
