CREWS tackled an electrical fire on Market Yard, Castle Cary last night (April 10).
Three fire engines attended the incident around 8.30pm.
The fire was confirmed out on arrival, but one crew stayed to check with a thermal imaging camera.
"Crews had to cut away at the lounge ceiling to expose the the ducting," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"Small tools were used to complete this task.
"The fire was confirmed as electrical but had been extinguished by the occupiers with a fire extinguisher.
"The fire was confined to the overhead heating duct.
"There was five per cent fire damage to the ducting, but no smoke damage."
