A MOTORHOME was 90 per cent damaged by fire this morning (April 5).
Crews tackled the blaze in Pibsbury, near Langport at around 9am.
Oxygen therapy was given to the driver of the motorhome, who had inhaled a lot of smoke.
One fire engine from Somerton and one from Martock attended the incident.
"On arrival the crews confirmed the small motorhome was well alight and got to work attempting to extinguish the vehicle using two breathing apparatus wearers and two hose reel jets," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"Oxygen therapy was given to the driver of the vehicle as he had inhaled quite a bit of smoke from the fire, a paramedic also attended as a precaution to check the driver was ok.
"The fire was extinguished using the above equipment but unfortunately the vehicle was 90 per cent damaged by the fire."
