A MAN from Chard appeared in court last Friday (March 26) for drink driving.
Ianis Fustei, 37, of Samuel Vickery Way in Chard, was given 80 hours unpaid work, as well as being disqualified from driving for 30 months.
He was fined £346 for also driving without the correct insurance, and has to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
He pleaded guilty to both offences.
Another man from South Somerset also appeared in Yeovil Magistrates Court last week for drink driving.
Daniel Marks, 35, of Swanmead Drive in Ilminster, was fined £300, given 80 hours unpaid work, as well as a tag with a curfew.
Marks also has to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.
He pleaded guilty to the offence.
A man from Wells was given a 12 month conditional discharge for begging on Cathedral Green.
Paul Jeffrey Ellis, 39, of Parsons Way in Wells, also has to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £40 in costs.
He pleaded guilty to the offence.
A man from Warminster appeared in court for harassment of a woman in Frome.
Alan William Boxall, 54, of Regal Court in Warminster, has been given a year long restraining order, fined £120, has to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £40 in costs.
He pleaded guilty to the offence.
