FIRE crews rescued a person trapped in their vehicle after a road traffic collision (RTC).
The vehicle had flipped onto its roof in Lydford on Fosse at around 11am this morning (March 12).
Fire engines from Somerton and Castle Cary attended the incident, along with the rescue tender from Glastonbury.
"On arrival the crews confirmed a one vehicle RTC with the vehicle on its roof and one person still trapped," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Crews got to work to release the casualty using stabilisation equipment and hydraulic cutting equipment.
"Crews released the casualty and left them in the hands of the ambulance service and then made the vehicle safe.
"These are the full and final details."
