FOOD delivery company Deliveroo has brought its launch date in a Somerset town forward, to help restaurants and their customers through lockdown.
Yeovil residents can now order food from a range of restaurants and grocery retailers, after the company brought its launch forward by several weeks.
The Deliveroo app and website enables residents to check out the best local food in their area; the company works with independent restaurants, high street giants like Burger King and KFC, and retailers and convenience stores like Co-Op and One Stop, too.
Between January 28 and February 28, 2021, new customers can get £10 off their first delivery (minimum spend of £15) by using the code WEGETFOOD.
Customers can also get 20 per cent off orders for the next four weeks (participating restaurants only, £20 minimum spend - full terms and conditions here).
Deliveroo will also be looking for people in Yeovil to become riders, delivering food and groceries to customers' doors in less than 30 minutes.
Regional director Harrison Foster commented: "Launching in Yeovil is a key milestone for Deliveroo.
"Yeovil has a thriving foodie community and a wide range of restaurants and retailers, so we’re excited to connect them.
"We look forward to working with our new partners to reach a new customer base and expand their businesses.
"Deliveroo will also create work for local riders and we are thrilled to offer a flexible role to the community."
