RESIDENTS and staff at a South Petherton care home have received their first coronavirus vaccination.
Burnworthy House received their first dose in one day - thanks to efforts of Somerset South West Primary Care Network and Festival Medical Services.
Jackie Howells, manager of Burnworthy House, said the process was a "success".
“Our thanks go to everyone who made this day possible and we look forward to the next phase of the programme in our efforts to return to normal life again,” said Ms Howells.
Recipients of the jab ranged from 17 to 103 years old, and all followed a one-way system to the vaccination area in the home.
The care home is part of the Somerset Care Group, which has now had 67 per cent of residential care staff and 76 per cent of residents vaccinated, across its 27 care homes.
