A MAN was rescued by firefighters after a crash in Yeovil.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 8.29am today (December 31) to reports of a road traffic collision in Old Road, Yeovil.
Two fire engines and the heavy rescue unit from Yeovil attended the incident.
On arrival crews confirmed one car was on its side with one person was medically trapped inside the vehicle.
Crews were able to rescue the man and he was left in the hands of the ambulance service.
Police were informed and attended the incident as a section of Old Road had to be closed due to 'very icy' conditions.
