A FESTIVE event in South Petherton has been cancelled.
The Frogmary Festive Lights evenings at Frogmary Green Farm are no longer running, due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Organisers had more than 2,500 people attend on Friday, December 11, and they no longer think it is safe to run the event.
The evenings were due to take place on Wednesday, December 16, Friday, December 18, and Saturday, December 19.
A spokesperson for Frogmary Green Farm said: "Due to the unexpected numbers, and some large groups not following this advice, we no longer think it's safe to run this event and will be cancelling all following nights.
"We want to thank you all for your support of Frogmary and for your understanding.
"We don't want to jeopardise Christmas bubbles and we, therefore, cannot in all safety continue with our festive lights.
"Cancelling feels like the best option for our local community and public safety.
"Thank you all for your understanding and patience.
"We wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas and look forward to safely welcoming you back to our farm in the future."
