AN ILMINSTER business has emerged from lockdown with a new name and a new look.
After 105 days of not being able to trade, Transformations opened on Saturday (July 4).
Hannah May Hair studio, Ilminster, was originally opened in 2004 and has been under new ownership since 2017 when the beauty, nails and aesthetic side of the business was introduced.
The name had remained the same as it had been known as the name of the salon in the town for over a decade.
However in the lockdown it was decided by owners Kerry and John it was time for a fresh name.
Kerry Stuart-Hole said: “Transformations Hair, Beauty & Aesthetics was chosen after many discussions.
“Transformations, means a change in appearance and I felt this is what her mission has always been, to transform people both physically and emotionally, by offering head to toe treatments and support for her loyal following of clients.
“We are very excited to get back to what we do best.”
Kerry has a background as a CQC Registered Clinic Manager which has helped he to put the correct measures in place to hopefully keep the salon safe from Covid-19.
She added: “We are deeply sad we cannot open all our services and that beauty and aesthetic appointments have been put on hold temporarily.
“As a highly qualified Aesthetics Practitioner I wear full PPE and follow SSC by laws for regulated services when completing aesthetics.
“I am also a member of the Association of Cosmetic Practitioners of Britain, British Beauty Council and The National Hair Beauty Federation.”
The salon has reopened at 31 West Street, Ilminster, and for more call 01460 52524.
