FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a home in South Somerset after reports of a fire.
Crew from Martock were sent to the scene at around 1.25pm yesterday (April 17).
The incident was in East Lambrook, near South Petherton.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire control received a call for a fire in a chimney at a domestic property in South Petherton.
"Fire crews from Martock were mobilised and on arrival confirmed that there fire was confined to the chimney."
Fire crews used laddders, a hose jet, and a fog spike, which punches a hole in a door before spraying water inside to reduce smoke.
The spokesman added: "The crews also used a Thermal Image Camera to monitor the temperature throughout the property whilst the incident was ongoing.
"This incident is complete and these are the final details."
