AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after after a bus driver was allegedly spat at and threatened with coronavirus.
In a post on Facebook on Friday (March 27) PC Joe Sanderson said the incident happened at around 2pm on Friday (March 27) on Bancks Street, Minehead.
PC Sanderson said the incident is being treated as an ‘assault.’
PC Joe Sanderson's post said: "We’re investigating an assault on a bus driver in Bancks Street, Minehead, at about 2pm on Friday (March 27).
"The offender spat in the driver’s face and referred to COVID-19.
"We’re treating this incident extremely seriously and we’d appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward to help us identify the offender.
