APPROXIMATELY a tonne of straw being transported on the back of a lorry was destroyed after it caught fire.
Two fire engines from Chard were called to the incident on Crewkerne Road, at its junction with Monmouth Court, Chard, at 2.34pm today (Easter Sunday).
Fire crews tackled the blaze and despite the straw being destroyed, no damage was caused to the vehicle.
