POLICE are appealing for the public's help after a manager at Cricket St Thomas hotel was attacked and robbed.
The incident happened at about 10pm on May 30 but extensive police enquiries have yet to identify a culprit.
The manager had just cashed up in the bar area of the hotel complex and was taking the money through the car park to the main office when he was attacked from behind and pushed to the ground into some nearby bushes.
Because the incident happened so quickly, the manager was unable to identify his attacker or attackers, who fled with the money, but fortunately he did not sustain serious injuries.
Anybody with information should call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
Alternatively, phone the police on 0845-4567000, quoting log number 1446 of May 30, 2007, and ask for all relevant information to be passed to DC 4130 Hawkins, of Somerton CID.
