PREPARATIONS are being made for the end of the two-year long New Eyes arts project in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The project has seen over 20 artists, makers and musicians create new work in the area, with their efforts to be shown throughout September.
The work will be appearing across the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) as well as in Taunton and Honiton.
As well as the main exhibitions will be several events including artists' workshops and showings of community films made over the past year with people from across the area.
A host of new work will also be on display throughout the Autumn including Sarah Le Breton's delicate woven canopy inspired by Honiton lace and local motifs such the bee orchid.
A 'New Eyes' DVD will be available together with a new CD, 'Blackdown Voices' by musicians Charlie Hearnshaw and Maxine Green.
The New Eyes project is managed by Somerset Art Week Ltd and is primarily grant aided from the Blackdown Hills Leader + Fund from the Blackdown Hills AONB.
The Arts Council of England, South West and Taunton Deane Borough Council have supported the project.
