A WARNING has gone out to parents and children who use the play area in Broadway.
The Parish Newsletter for July has reported that metal drinks cans have been left in the play area and when the grass is cut they are sliced up' and create potentially dangerous sharp shards.
A spokesman said: "We will contact the contractor who cuts the grass and instruct them to remove cans before moving. When the grass is long, however, they can be overlooked.
"Please can parents be alert to the problem and if they see shards of can, carefully, remove them."
And they added: "If children can be persuaded to dispose of cans in the litterbin or, better still, take them home for recycling, then the problem can be eliminated at source."
