A LARGE group of members visited the old manor house at Midelney on June 21.
King Ina gave this spot to Muchelney Abbey for its upkeep. The Trevelyan family followed and the manor has only had two owners in all that time.
Despite low ceilings, the light walls and paintings make it an attractive home with many heirlooms on display. Roses dominated the grounds and the evening ended with buffet style refreshments.
The next meeting will be on July 4 when Andy Dickson will speak on Lands End to John O'Groats'.
