PUPILS and teachers at Shepton Beauchamp Church of England First School have received a glowing report from the Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools.
The report, conducted by the diocese of Bath and Wells for the Church of England, graded the school on several aspects including strengths, meeting needs of pupils and leadership.
Inspector, Andrew Rickett, said: "The school has a real sense of family where relationships at all levels are based on trust.
"This has created a community which values the individuals and gives them opportunities to thrive in their learning and personal development."
Although the report was altogether positive, Mr Rickett suggested they focus on developing teacher confidence in assessing children's progress in their learning and introduce procedures for governors to monitor and evaluate collective worship and religious education.
