AN APPLICATION to build a house on land at Furzehill in Chard was recommended for approval at Chard Town Council's planning and highways committee last night (Tuesday).
The application was for the demolition of a garage and shed and the building of a detached dwelling at 33 Furzehill.
Mayor, Cllr Martin Wale, said: "This is a revised application, from my memory, the last application was rejected due to over crowding and the fact that two front doors would be facing each other.
"This application seems to have over come that."
