PEOPLE in Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne will be able to get more information on how to recycle thanks to a new scheme.
The scheme, Pledge, is being run by Somerset Waste Partnership, which consists of Somerset County Council and the five district councils.
As part of the scheme, pledgers' will receive regular e-recycle newsletters proving tips on how to reduce waste and all the latest news on new schemes and offers.
England cricketer, Marcus Trescothick, is launching the Pledge to Recycle Scheme.
He said: "It is important that we all do our bit and recycle our waste.
"Using the kerbside recycling box is easy and can make a big difference in reducing the amount of waste that we throw away."
People can also pledge to help reduce the waste they create by using their local recycling services, composting food and garden waste and buying local goods with less packaging.
Cllr Hazel Prior-Sankey, Somerset County Council's Portfolio Holder for Waste and Transport, said: "The Pledge is a great way for people to show their commitment to the environment and they will also have the option to sign up to the e-recycle newsletters, which as well as receiving lots of useful information on recycling also has prizes and competitions."
