A CHARD student was among a group of ten from King's College, Taunton, who helped raise £450 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance by displaying their entrepreneurial skills.
The students, including 15-year-old Tom Lawson, made, marketed and sold greetings cards during a Young Enterprise business programme tutored by King's College old boy John Wilkins.
The cards were sold in packs of five for £2.50 and the proceeds were given to the charity of Mr Wilkins' choice.
Mr Wilkins, who runs Wilkins Health and Safety Services, based near Langport, said: "As somebody who has developed my own nationwide consultancy, I have experienced the pressures involved and know just how difficult it is to be successful in business these days.
"I was therefore delighted to be able to pass on some of my skills and practical advice based on experience to students at my old college who may one day be setting up their own businesses for real. They were a great group to work with."
