KEEN runners from Chard took part in the record-breaking London Marathon on Sunday, and even had enough time to catch up with the News.
Eight runners from the Chard Road Runners braved the scorching heat and 26.2mile run, all completing the course in good time.
Runner Phillip Hodson said: "It was a very hot and very hard day, but we all finished the course.
"I even got interviewed for the BBC with fellow runner Amanda, as we were dressed in hula skirts, and they stopped us along the way for a talk."
Runners included Amanda Mooney, Simon Hall, Neil Plumridge, Bernard Genge, Simon Fry and Mick Duplock.
