Why did our district chairman join Inner Wheel?
Because she learned how this international organisation has members in over 100 countries and is so effective in helping women and children anywhere in the world, as well as in their home county - writes Desi Fradgley.
This helps promote true friendship and service between members in their own club, country and worldwide.
Going travelling?
An Inner Wheel member can visit another club on whichever continent they happen to be.
And it all started here in Manchester 100 years ago!
We all enjoyed an excellent meal at Hornsbury Mill and were pleased to welcome three visitors.
We like meeting in ‘neutral’ territory as it’s easy for anyone to come to and see what we are all about.
You may have noticed the odd post on Facebook telling you what we are recycling for charity.
Items range from well-cared-for clothing, stamps, used printer ink cartridges, unwanted foreign or out-of-date coins or notes, to just about anything you can think of except laser toner cartridges.
Our second informal tea dance is on November 29 at Jenny’s Café & Bistro at 3pm till 5.30pm.
Tickets are available at Jenny’s and Eleos.
