A CLOTHING retailer is set to generate new jobs when it moves into a deserted shop premises in the centre of Chard.
Up to nine part-time positions have been created by Store Twenty One, which has taken over the former Woolworth’s site in Fore Street.
The News exclusively revealed the deal in October following months of speculation over the building, which has lain empty since Woolworth’s went into administration last December.
A spokesman for Store Twenty One, the sister company of budget fashion chain QS, confirmed the new shop will officially open its doors on November 11.
The existing QS store will close on November 5 in preparation for the move.
