POLICE attended the scene of a car fire in the early hours of this morning.
A fire crew from Yeovil was sent to Beechwood in the town at just after midnight to reports a car was ablaze.
A spokesperson for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival the crew confirmed that the car was well alight.
"The car was 30% damaged by fire and 70% damaged by smoke.
"To deal with the incident crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and small tools.
"The police also attended."
