A DIGGER was badly damaged after a fire near Crewkerne.
Firefighters from Crewkerne and Chard were called to the A30 near Roundham at 12.30am today (July 20) following reports of a digger on fire.
When crews arrived they confirmed a mini digger was on fire on the side of the road.
The digger was 75 per cent damaged by fire.
Firefighters put out the fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and a thermal image camera.
