A FIRE engine was sent to reports of a pub fire near Chard this afternoon.
The fire crew were called out shortly after 1.15pm to the scene in Wambrook.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "A fire appliance from Chard was mobilised to a report of a chimney fire in a public house in Wambrook near Chard.
"Upon arrival crews used their hearth kit to extinguish the fire."
